Moataz Al-Alfi is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Egypt Kuwait Holding “EKH”, one of the largest private equity and venture capital companies in Egyp. EKH focuses on strategic sectors such as utilities and infrastructure and petrochemical industries. Al-Afi is also chairman of Americana Egypt, a sister company of Americana Group in Kuwait and the largest food conglomerate in the Middle East. It operates in 24 countries with 65,000 employees. Additionally, he is a board member of the Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation.
Moataz is highly active on the public, social, and philanthropic fronts. He established the Al-Alfi Foundation for Human and Social Development which, through education and training, helps to discover future leaders among Egyptian youth. Moreover, he founded and assumed leadership roles in several non-profit NGOs in the fields of education, health care and community development.
He serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The American University in Cairo. He has effectively contributed in qualifying over 100,000 fresh graduates and helped them get employed through his role as the Vice Chairman of the Professional Development Foundation, one of the largest social foundations in the Arab world. Moataz holds a Master’s degree in International Management Education from Helwan University.
